Murdered Georgia woman Debbie Collier posted a series of selfies after she said she was “face planting” on a sidewalk in December 2020 — long before she mysteriously disappeared and was found dead in the woods 60 miles from her home in Athens. “Look what I did to myself when I face planted on the concrete sidewalk,” reads the Facebook caption. “I have no eye makeup on my right eye.” Collier’s Facebook account appears to be a joint account under both her name and her husband’s name: “Debbie Steve Collier.” The images show scratches and bruising around Collier’s right eye and forehead. STRUGGLE GEORGIA MUM DEBBIE COLLIER FOUND NAKED AND WRECKED, CLOSE TREE AT GRANT LEVEL: DOCUMENTS Debbie Collier posted on Facebook on December 8, 2020, that she had “face planted” and injured her eye on the sidewalk. (Debbie Collier/Facebook) A spokesperson for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department told Fox News Digital that it had no record of any domestic calls involving Collier or her husband or any calls made to their address. Dr. Emma Liu, a former Florida medical examiner, said the root of the injuries could only be identified in general terms, but “would be consistent with a fall.” The damage was caused by something “hard and relatively flat, at least the part of the object that came into contact with her.” Habersham County deputies launched a homicide investigation earlier this month after discovering Collier’s remains — stripped and partially burned — dumped in an embankment a quarter-mile from her rental car. The 59-year-old real estate manager was hugging a tree and had “chars” on her abdomen, according to police documents. Debbie Collier’s daughter and husband reported her missing after she sent a cryptic message along with $2,385 via Venmo. (Debbie Collier/Facebook) Investigators on Wednesday afternoon revealed they have no evidence to suggest her death was either a kidnapping or suicide. A sheriff’s office spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday afternoon. DEBBIE COLLIER CASE: CRIMINAL PROFILER WARNS OF POSSIBLE ‘DETECTIVE SERIAL KILLER’ AFTER MOM’S MURDER IS IGNORED Police reports mention the $2,385 Venmo payment Collier sent to her daughter. (Athens-Clark Police Department) Collier disappeared on Sept. 10 after allegedly sending her daughter $2,385 via the Venmo app and a cryptic message that read, “They’re not going to let me love you, there’s a house key in the blue pot by the door.” Her daughter and husband reported her missing that afternoon. Debbie Collier posted on Facebook on December 8, 2020, that she had “face planted” and injured her eye on the sidewalk. (Debbie Collier/Facebook) A review of the daughter’s Venmo account found that since early August, she received several transfers from Steve Collier — and it appears that Debbie and Steve Collier shared the account. On August 2, the first payment included the note, “To: Amanda Bearden From: Debbie Collier.” The daughter, Amanda Bearden, told police that the last message, with the $2,385 payment, “scared her” and that it was “unusual” for her mother to leave without telling anyone. She and Steve Collier notified the police and filed a missing persons report. Collier was using a rented Chrysler Pacifica because her own vehicle was at the store, according to the missing person’s report.
