The 27-year-old heiress wore a stunning Valentino couture gown when she married Brooklyn Beckham, 23, in April, but claims the original plan was for her to wear a custom-made gown designed by his mother Victoria.
Newlywed Nicola said she was excited at the prospect of wearing a dress designed by Victoria, however she had not heard from the former Spice Girl, 48, for days before she hit out to say she would not be making the dress for her big day.
The devastating news left Nicola reeling – as her stylist Leslie Fremar and her mother Claudia were also set to join the design dream team. The plan was foiled in a call between Victoria and Nicola’s mum.
In a bombshell interview with Grazia USA, the 27-year-old revealed: ‘We got together to start designing the dress and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. “Victoria called my mom and said her atelier didn’t make it.”
Loved-up husband Brooklyn has made his position clear amid the family feud, telling the publication that Nicola is his ‘number one priority’ and that they ‘have each other’s backs 100 per cent’.
Newlywed Nicola Peltz, 27, has sensationally claimed she was snubbed by mother-in-law Victoria Beckham after the designer offered to make her a wedding dress – adding that the former Spice Girl then backtracked and said her atelier she actually couldn’t complete the dress
In an interview with Grazia USA, the 27-year-old revealed: “We connected to start designing the dress and then a couple of days went by and I didn’t hear anything. “Victoria called my mom and said her atelier didn’t make it.”
Millionaire heiress Nicola ended up wearing a stunning Valentino couture number to her wedding. She married her beau Brooklyn Beckham, son of Victoria and David Beckham, at her family’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in April.
FAMILY rift: The pair are said to have been embroiled in a family row after the heiress wore a Valentino couture wedding dress to marry Victoria’s eldest son Brooklyn earlier this year – instead of a design by his mother (Victoria, David, Nicola and Brooklyn pictured together in 2021)
Describing Victoria and David as ‘fantastic in-laws’, Nicola admitted she ‘hurt my feelings’ when it was revealed she ‘never planned’ to wear a dress from her mother-in-law
The Grazia interview is the latest – and clearest – sign that tensions between Nicola and Victoria are at an all-time high
Nicola, daughter of New York billionaire Nelson Peltz, attempted to set the record straight as she explained: “I was planning to wear Victoria’s wedding dress and I was really so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created.
“I thought it was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.”
The interview with Grazia probably won’t do much to quell any rift between Nicola and her mother-in-law
After Victoria’s revelations that she couldn’t make her wedding dress, Nicola recalled: “So I spoke to my mum and Leslie and said, ‘Well, unfortunately, that can’t happen, so what’s next? step;”
“I have been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel [the atelier] to try on the dress. This really happened.’
The drama of the wedding dress was heightened by the fact that Victoria not only wore her own dress design on the day – but four of her dearest friends and her own mother attended the wedding wearing her designs.
Eva Longoria, Nadia Ferreria, Zanna Roberts Rassi and Romeo’s then-girlfriend Mia Regan wore gorgeous VB dresses to Brooklyn and Nicola’s big day.
Describing Victoria and David as ‘fantastic in-laws’, Nicola admitted it ‘hurt her feelings’ when it was revealed she ‘never planned’ to wear a dress from her mother-in-law.
The 27-year-old said: “It hurts my feelings. I try not to let it go, but it’s not the truth. It’s a little scary when you say, “Oh, people believe that,” but it’s not true.
Brooklyn – who has always been known to have a close relationship with his parents and siblings in the past – made his position on the rift absolutely clear when he declared that his wife is his “first priority”, before adding that he always ” they talk things. through’ and ‘moving forward together’ when it comes to rumors and speculations about their personal lives.
“To be honest, my wife is obviously my first priority and I never want to see her upset,” he said. “We have each other’s backs 100 percent and we’re just moving forward together.”
Lovebirds Nicola and Brooklyn tied the knot in a no-expenses-paid ceremony earlier this year, held at the heiress’ lavish family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Before the feud rumors surfaced, Nicola told her social media followers that Victoria was her “role model” in a heartfelt post for her birthday in 2021. Things have since soured, according to insiders and vultures fans
Priority: And supporting his wife, Brooklyn chimed in and explained that they “discuss things” when there are rumours, adding: “To be honest, my wife is obviously my number one priority and I don’t ever want to see her upset.”

Ahead of the wedding in April 2022, Victoria and Nicola have been swooning over each other’s social media, supporting each other through likes and comments. But fans noticed that the once-active online relationship slowly faded away in the months following the wedding
Initially, Nicola and Victoria appeared to enjoy a close relationship, with the pair regularly sharing selfies and family photos on their respective social media accounts. In 2021, Nicola even described her then-future mother-in-law as her “role model” while posting a birthday tribute to the designer.
But eagle-eyed fans began to speculate that tensions had arisen between Victoria and Nicola after they went months without interacting online – before a series of cryptic interviews and Instagram posts further fueled rumors of a rift between the two women.
Nicola appears on the cover of Grazia’s latest issue, in which she hit back at claims she ‘never planned’ to wear a wedding dress designed by Victoria – insisting it was actually her mother-in-law who put an end to her desire to wear one of her dresses
In August, Nicola shared a candid snap of herself looking sad with red watery eyes, with the beauty admitting she ‘finds it hard to show the sad parts of me’ while praising the way she was raised by ‘strong parents » her.
Many believed that this was a hatred towards Victoria, as she referenced her loving family who taught her not to allow other people to “bring her down”.
Fans also took issue with Victoria’s rather emotionless celebratory post on Instagram after the wedding – as she just wrote: ‘Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beckham. Welcome to the x family.’
Many were quick to point out that Victoria didn’t use Brooklyn and Nicola’s official new last name – Peltz-Beckham – prompting further speculation that the post was actually a subtle hint at their growing tensions.
Other signs of the cold war between the Beckham wives include when Nicola failed to post a picture with Victoria at the glitzy wedding reception – despite her caption ‘family is everything to me’.
Since then, Nicola and Victoria barely like each other’s photos on social media, despite the fact that they always used to support each other online.
It was also reported that the Beckhams were not happy after Nicola posed for a glamorous front cover close-up for British socialite magazine Tatler – published under the headline ‘The new Mrs Beckham’.
Mrs Beckham is a title Victoria has of course worn with pride since marrying her footballer hubby in July 1999.
Brooklyn posted the stunning cover of his adoring wife, captioning it: ‘Wow. I’m so proud of you baby. You look gorgeous and I am so in love with you. Congratulations baby.’
His mother, Victoria, did not like the Instagram post.

Family: Brooklyn is the oldest of Victoria and David’s brood, with the long-term couple also sharing Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper Seven, 11
Silence: David and Victoria (left in the 90s before they got married and right in 2019) have remained silent on the matter as rumors of a rift circulate
Before the wedding, Nicola and Brooklyn’s younger sister Harper shared a love affair online – however the bond between the siblings has barely been in the public eye since falling out with Victoria
In the accompanying interview, Nicola made what several fans believed were sly digs at her new in-laws – and the way they’ve treated her husband in the past.
He told the magazine: “Brooklyn felt very…
