According to royal commentator Neil Sean, the Duchess of Sussex is trying to extend an olive branch by coordinating a conversation with her father-in-law before she leaves the country. “She would now like before they return to California to have an audience with King Charles III,” the royal reporter told OK!. “That’s right – Meghan one-on-one with King Charles. You heard right.” : Sean explained that Markle recently sent a letter to the reigning monarch asking for the chat, saying: “It’s a very brave move from Meghan herself. It would be an opportunity to clear the air, draw rights from wrongs and explain some of the logic behind what they’ve been doing for the last two years.” Although Sean admitted that “you’ve got to admire Meghan’s confidence, whatever you think,” he candidly reflected on how strained Meghan’s relationship with the king has been since she left the royal family in 2020. Not only did the couple upset the monarchy by leaving, but members of the royal family revealed that the company “lost confidence” in Meghan following the launch of her podcast and subsequent interviews. “Honestly, we have no idea if this is going to go forward,” Sean said.
