The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says that the Russian occupiers have revoked the conscription moratorium for about 500 workers of the Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Plant in the Russian-held city of Yenakiieve in the Donetsk region. Source: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook I quote, reference: “[Russia] continues to undertake the so-called “mobilization” measures in the temporarily occupied territories [of Ukraine]. According to available information, the postponement of mobilization issued to about 500 employees of Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works has been revoked as of September 14 this year. In addition, men have been forbidden to leave the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea without obtaining special permission from the military commissions.” Details: Russia continues to take other steps to replenish its losses and build up reserve units. The General Staff reports that four motorized rifle battalions are being formed among the troops of the 36th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Combined Army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces (the base of which is located in the town of Borzya in Zabaikal Krai). Officer positions in these battalions are filled by teachers of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School. The General Staff reported earlier that a naval rifle regiment had been formed at the base of the Black Sea Higher Naval School in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol (Crimea). “The Russian military leadership continues to resort to World War II-style tactics to staff the aforementioned units, which confirms the substantial problems and miscalculations it faces,” the General Staff concluded.
