The ITV This Morning co-hosts addressed the row during the show on Tuesday morning Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield say they would “never jump the queue” as they addressed the row over their visit to report the Queen was in state. The ITV This Morning co-hosts have come under fire on social media after appearing at Westminster Hall on Friday without taking part in the public line. Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, Willoughby said: “Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we have been given official permission to access the room. “It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for the millions of people in the UK who were unable to visit Westminster in person. “The rules were that we would be escorted quickly around the edges to a platform at the back. Instead, those paying their respects walked to a carpeted area next to the casket and were given time to pause. “None of the broadcasters and journalists took anyone’s place in the queue and no one passed the Queen. “Of course we respected those rules. However, we realize that it might have looked like something else, and so we completely understand the reaction. “Please know that we would never jump a line.” The Queen’s remarkable life was recalled in our latest episode of What You Need To Know.
