The store is located in the area of Mavis and Britannia streets. Police were called to the scene at 6:01 p.m. after multiple calls about the attack. Officers found the woman and man inside the store and arrested the man. The female had “obvious signs of trauma,” Const. Philip Jake told reporters in the parking lot. Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was also injured and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said. Police said the homicide office has taken over the investigation. “This has been deemed an isolated incident and public safety is not a concern,” Yake said. Peel Regional Police are investigating a fatal stabbing inside a Mississauga store. A woman is dead and a man, also injured, is in custody.
