While NVIDIA is literally counting down to the announcement of its GeForce RTX 40 series, Intel is gearing up for its own (delayed) GPU launch. The Arc Alchemist series released for laptops and low-end desktops is finally entering the most anticipated stage: a mid/high-end desktop launch. Gelsinger posed for a photo with the Arc A770 Limited Edition card, an Intel design that will also be available for retail. The CEO of Intel confirms that the company is now preparing the first batch of these cards for release, but it is not mentioned when exactly this will happen. Intel has delayed the release of Arc Alchemist for desktop PCs for as long as possible, which now leaves the company with only four days to fulfill its promise of releasing Arc A7 GPUs “later this summer.” However, this date appears to be very unlikely. There is a good chance that Intel will launch the GPU series at the Innovation event, which will take place just 4 days later (September 27). On that day, the company will also unveil its line of 13th generation Core desktop processors known as Raptor Lake. Source: Pat Gelsinger
