The Royal Family attended a ceremony at Her Majesty the Queen’s Chapel where her coffin was lowered into the Royal Vault. The Duchess was also seen wiping away tears during the day. Joined by the most prominent members of the family, including King Charles and Queen consort Camilla, Meghan and Harry attended the ceremony in Windsor after the funeral at Westminster Abbey. Relatives then returned to Windsor Castle for some rest before some attended a private burial later in the evening. In one of the only non-televised moments of the day, the family saw the Queen finally laid to rest next to her beloved Prince Philip. Harry was pictured outside the chapel with his father the King, his brother the Prince of Wales and his aunt Princess Anne as the royals gathered to bid him farewell. Many members of the family looked emotional, including the new King and young Princess Charlotte, who wept after the funeral. She was present at the service with her older brother Prince George. The service at Westminster Abbey was attended by 2,000 kings and heads of state and 200 members of the public. In the days leading up to the funeral, the Queen’s coffin lay in Westminster Hall, with over 400,000 people queuing to pay their respects to the beloved monarch.
