Resident Discovers Body In Summerside Neighborhood London Police

London Police Media Relations Officer Const.  Sandasha Bough says a resident walking those trails around 12:20pm on Monday made a grim discovery. 
“Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding what appeared to be a body in the lake,” he says.
The pond is located on the eastern edge of the Summerside neighborhood near Highbury Avenue South and Commissioners Road East.
Bough says that, along with police, London Fire Brigade water rescue crews and Middlesex London EMS were also called to the scene and on arrival made the disturbing discovery.

(Jim Knight/CTV News London) “Upon police arrival, one person was found deceased and the investigation was handed over to members of our Major Crimes Unit,” he says. A representative of the Ontario Medical Examiner’s Office arrived shortly after 1 p.m. and the body was removed around 2:15 p.m. Police have not released information about the man’s age or gender, or a possible cause of death. They say the investigation is still in its early stages.
