A Storm Watch Has Been Issued For Southern Ontario
Around noon, Environment Canada warned residents that thunderstorms are expected this afternoon in southeastern Ontario, including the Niagara, Peterborough, Bancroft and York regions. According to the weather report, stormy conditions are expected to bring strong winds of up to 90 km/h, heavy rainfall and large hail up to three centimeters in diameter. The federal agency is reminding residents that hail of this size can cause injury and property damage. “Strong gusts of wind can blow loose objects, damage flimsy buildings, snap branches from trees and overturn large vehicles,” the weather warning said....
